Choose your hosts with care!
Your hosts are the most critical gears in the party machine. Your success relies on their performance at the party. They will be your surrogates, engaging new guests and asking for money at the end (that’s “E” and “A” of GEAR)
You know the type of people you’ll need, those Board members that just L-O-V-E people. Are you getting this picture? People such as stock brokers, insurance and real estate agents are all good choices. You’ll be asking them to present and close, so choose people with that type of work experience. No matter whom you choose, they not only must be willing to listen, but also to agree and execute your plan for the party. Be sure to invite your Board President to attend the party, to lend importance to the event.
The people that work in the industries I mentioned above make their careers by giving presentations and closing sales in person. When you present the plan, they will understand it. You may learn some tips from them too.
